The OCSB's Deep Learning Framework is an overarching goal to highlight authentic learning experiences, through voice, inclusion and agency—for all students.
Our goal in the OCSB is the weave "the 6 C's" through our "Strategic Commitments" to create safe and innovative places to learn. The "Four Elements" are the learning conditions that allow the Global Competencies to flourish.
Deep Learning is the holistic philosophy anchoring this graphic. The role of the educator is to intentionally use these four elements to design and implement authentic learning experiences that activate engagement and enable students to apply their global competencies to create and use new knowledge in real-world contexts, beyond simply mastering existing content.
